Subject:Does Absence Make the Heart Grow Fonder? Celebrity Reconciliations
Time:4:50 pm.
Just because they are celebrities doesn't mean they don't suffer from the same pitfalls as the rest of us do when it comes to relationships. We've all had moments we aren't proud of,and these people have to live out their lives with millions of people watching (and usually, judging). Especially when it comes to relationships.

Keeping a relationship happy and functional for the average person can be stressful, can you imagine having to deal with thousands (or more) people constantly asking you about your relationship in public on top of the day to day stresses? It would be enough to drive a couple apart.

But what happens when circumstances drive them apart, but there's still that love between them?

A reconciliation, of course! We've compiled a list of some celebrity reconciliations that show sometimes, love CAN be enough....

Time:12:29 pm.
Haven't updated here in ages! I am posting mire on Twitter simply because whenever I come on LJ I feel this ridiculous obligation to make a long drawn out post updating everything in my life... My goal is to start updating here more often, even if its just copying my tweets... I like the 140 character limitations! Lol
The short of it: lifes pretty good, Josh is doing well so far in grade 4, works great and I'm going on a work trip to LA over the Xmas break! Our house is done and we are gradually moving things in...

Someone please help me. Angelo has gotten me addicted to Assassin's Creed 2, and I want to do nothing but Assassination contracts and find Tombs.
I played for 8 hour straight last Saturday, no lie. I have never done that before, with any game whatsoever.

Subject:Our New house....
Time:10:02 pm.
So a couple of weeks ago, we went to pick the fixtures and all that for our new home. I was kind of disappointed with the countertops. If only we could have afforded the granite ones, they are fucking GORGEOUS. We had to go within our budget though, and when we do our renos, thatll definitely be something I want changed! Otherwise, I think its going to look alright. Mainly because Angelo left the design and colour schemes all up to me, and he handled the upgrades. It IS his money, after all, lol.
The kitchen is stainless steel appliances, so we went with the darkest cupboards and countertops we could. The main bathroom has muted whites, since I want to go with blue walls and white trim. Our bathroom is in cremes and dark browns, for an art deco feel, with the browns and straight lines. The carpet is hideous, but thatll be in there for two years tops before we rip them out for flooring.
We were going to add in a breakfast bar, but when looking at the schematics, we realized that would not leave a ton of room in the dining area, and we would rather go with a nice dining room set to entertain with. The only upgrades we did were to pay for a microwave to be installed above the stove and vent, and enlarge the basement windows. Why he wanted to enlarge them so badly, I have no idea. Im not a fan of having all this natural light streaming into my basement for some reason.

Subject:seething with anger....
Time:7:43 pm.
So I have been getting my organic produce delivered to my apartment for the past month, and things have gone great up until today. I was just getting to daycare to pick up Josh when they buzzed to be let in. I was unable to hear her, so I just buzzed her in, and continued to get Josh and walk back to the apartment. I arrive, at most, ten minutes after the buzzer rang, to find NO BIN. This is odd, as I had left my old one out for them when I left this morning. HHMMMMM. Send an email, no response, since its 5:30 and the office is probably closed. Leave a voicemail on their machine, and resign myself to waiting until tomorrow to find out if there were an issues.
Suddenly I realize, WAIT! This wasnt my normal delivery person, could she have left it with my apartment super??? Run downstairs, bang on the door. NO BIN.
Am now paniking at the thought of 32 bucks worth of fruit and veg have been stolen in the TEN MINUTES till I arrived.
Go figure, given that it sat out for ohhhh, 6 hours last Tuesday when I had to work till 9.
If my food was stolen, I WILL CUT A BITCH.
I will also post a nasty note on my door addressed:

Time:11:36 pm.
Ok, I CANNOT be the only one who thinks Jesse Spencer from House looks like a young Cary Elwes (Princess Bride era).

Xmas was good, Josh got his first two guitars! An acoustic from Angelo and I, and a red and white electric from his Uncles on his Dad's side.
I dont know whos having more fun with it, me or him, cuz I have already learned the chorus of Beat It and am working on reading tablature. tee hee!!!
His uncles are giving him serious lessons, so our acoustic will help him to keep in practice and basically just tinker around with and play something with a different sound. I figured I would have to learn that way I would be able to help him if hes stuck, but I am taking a liking to it rather fast!

Subject:gushing and an aside...
Time:7:18 pm.
I am gushing over the season finale of Dexter.
The last two episodes had my heart racing towards the end, and I have a new appreciation for John Lithgow's acting.

On a WHOLE other subject, I've come to the conclusion that the best family is the kind you make for yourself. (no, i dont mean makin' babies, people.)

I am pretty sure that each family shares in its own special type of dysfunctionality, varied in both severity and length. And when I say that, I am positive that each person reading this with think back to one particular moment of, "good god,how am I NOT adopted?" I have to wonder though, what makes some families behave the way they do. Why some people are stuck
putting so much effort into maintaining a relationhip, while the other party proves time and time again how unworthy they are of the attention. Trying their damndest to keep their loved ones involved and engaged in the happy and the sad times,to no avail.

Part of being a family is unconditionally loving people for who they are, faults and all (Romantic relationships,I'm looking at you too here). You are never going to agree with every single thing your family does, NEVER. If this is a new concept to you, write it down. The important thing is to be there for them, regardless of your opinions of their
choices or actions.
You only have one life to live, why waste it over petty disgreements? The big ones, then yes, I am a firm believer in holding grudges. I love my core family, and half of them arent blood related. I consider my best friends to be part of my family, and I will always support them, whether we agree or not. They are the ones to count on in times of need, who will lend a hand, even if it means a sacrifice on their part. I would do the same for them in a heartbeat.
But the point I am trying to make, is that I accept them, and they me. Nobody in this world is perfect, and to truly love someone, you have to love everything about them, even the bad.
Why, you ask?
Because those little annoying habits, or bad characteristics are a part of what make them into the people you love.
Accept your families for all their disorders and dysfunctions, people, especially around this time of year!

Subject:Placations and Platitudes
Time:9:32 pm.
Since it has been a recurring theme in my life lately, another post about death.
Whether it be the death of a loved one, an acquiantance, or even the death of a relationship, we all still go through the stages of grief and mourning. It is a naturally occuring part of life, and we all must deal with it at one point, and we all deal with thingds differently. But when we are the ones on the other side, attempting to comfort another in their time of grief, do we really do a good job of it?
Who are we really comforting when we say common phrases such as, "It is for the best/Things happen for a reason/etc etc"? Are we genuinely trying to comfort someone, or are we trying to make ourselves feel better when dealing with a grief stricken friend or family member and do not know how? Are we so uncomfortable just sharing in the raw emotion of grief that we need to dillute it by saying something, anything?

Or when we say, "They are in a better place now", who are we trying to comfort? Does it make US feel any better when others have said it to us in the past? Or does it makes us want to simply lash out irrationally at the person who could be so thoughtless as to think that WE would be better off without our loved one? They might be in a better place, but what about the ones left behind to pick up the pieces? That kind of comment may not be as helpful as it is intended to be at the time, sadly.
Theres also that wonderful saying about it getting "easier over time." Has anyone ever found it to get easier, or do we simply just learn to deal with the reality of it, and not let it consume us, as it does in the early stages?

Everyone deals with grief in a different way, and I think this may be why we rely so much on those little pearls of wisdom in these situations. Personally, I tend to sway from unbridled anger to internalizing EVERYTHING. I will completely and utterly shut down when in distress or anger, and nothing can bring me out until I am ready. Others tend to need touch, and those soft words to give them strength to keep moving through life. When it comes down to it, there really is no right or wrong answer for this, since everyone does have different ways of coping, and this is probably me just wallowing and bitching, but mabye sometimes a small smile, sympathetic glance, or light pat on the shoulder can do more than these words ever could. A shared moment of sorrow and understanding, without the need for a vocalization.

Subject:I hate you, Rob Zombie.
Time:10:50 pm.
I'll give you credit, Devils Rejects wasnt bad, but House of 1000 Corpses was quite the ripoff of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
And your 're-imagining' of the Halloween series is deplorable. The only thing you kept was the fucking names. You couldnt 'imagine' some different names and just made a standalone film? This was worse than Halloween 3: Season of the Witch.

p.s. Please stop putting your wife in every single movie, shes becoming stereotyped as a psycho/whore/both, and I am sure she could do justice to a different role if given half the chance.

Mabye I should have just given up stupidity for Lent....then I wouldnt be aroun said stupidness, and therefore not have such urges.

Then again, stupidity is, for the most part, unavoidable.

Got my copy of My Name is Bruce this morning!

Oh, and I got a flashy new 32 inch, LCD HDTV a couple weeks back.

Josh has decided he never wants to have kids, because they are "too much work."
But at this point, he also wants to grow up to be a truckdriver, actor, and a video game tester, and thinks all girls are yucky.
